RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain APIs, Django dashboards, and data pipelines.

• Manage and optimize SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite).

• Apply software development best practices, including version control, test-driven development (TDD), containerization, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and AI-assisted coding.

• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications using Azure cloud services and Github Actions.

• Ensure high-quality code with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Estimate, track and complete projects within scope, schedule, and budget.

• Manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously and work independently to resolve issues

• Communicate effectively within the team and with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

• Represent the software engineering team to provide technical guidance and support.

• Follow IT resource and policy standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field or equivalent

• 3+ years of software engineering experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience using version control (e,g, GitHub/Gitflow), testing, and delivery tools/methods.

• Proficient with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite).

• Django, Python experience.

• Experience in API development, data pipelines, and dashboards.

• Familiarity with software development best practices, including CI/CD, TDD, containerization, and automation.

• Desire and ability to learn and understand the transportation and mobility domain.

• Desire and ability to learn and understand new software engineering technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and Github Actions.

• Familiarity or willingness to learn and work with mobile app development technologies (JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin, Angular, Capacitor).

• Knowledge of mobile sensor frameworks.

• Experience with geo-spatial data / GIS.
