PRIMARY PURPOSE
A Technology Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT systems and software applications. They play a crucial role in ensuring that technology tools and infrastructure operate efficiently and meet the organization’s needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, maintain cloud infrastructure, network devices, servers, and software applications.
· Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure minimal downtime.
· Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance system security and data privacy.
· Conduct system backups, regular updates, and security audits to safeguard information.
· Evaluate and integrate new hardware and software technologies to boost productivity and efficiency.
· Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
· Manage RSG physical offices and facilities, including overseeing access control, office supplies, mail sorting, and general office maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
· An associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is often preferred.
· 3-5 years of practical experience with enterprise level IT Support
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Proficiency and demonstrated experience with Windows hardware, software, and Microsoft Office 365
· Experience with Mobile devices, basic networking skills, and PostgreSQL Server administration
· Outstanding communication, listening skills, customer service, patience and relationship-building skills
· Ability to exchange information and resolve problems with individuals and teams of varying sizes and technical abilities
· Ability to communicate effectively in one-to-one and group settings, in-person and remotely, with peers, supervisors and customers
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Requires periodic travel
· Frequently involves standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
· Operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine or computer printer.
· Frequently communicates with colleagues and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
· Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
· Ability to hike to remote locations carrying equipment up to 50lbs.
